Rosemarie Mattar grew up in Liverpool England, the sixth of seven children in a close-knit Irish-Jamaican family.

A collection of these memories about her multicultural experience - Liverpudlian, with a twist - seemed like the natural progression. 

 

This book is a tribute to her parents, who provided great love and support, and to her wife, CC, without whose encouragement it would never have been written. 

 

A hairdresser by trade, she would often recount stories from her childhood to clients and friends. 

 

After 22 years in Los Angeles, she now resides in Spain, where she teaches English.
